$250 per module
$2000 for all 10 modules if paid by the training start date. You must complete the following 10-weekend modules or makeup missed material in a future round of teacher training modules.

Learn the fundamentals of yoga philosophy and teaching methodology (with a focus on vinyasa yoga) with Karen Thomas, E-RYT 200, YACEP, Chris Petersen, 200 hour E-RYT and special guests in this Yoga Alliance approved training.

Whether you are a student seeking to become a teacher, a yoga teacher looking for inspired and effective teaching methods or an inquisitive student desiring a more sophisticated understanding of yoga, this teacher training program will guide and support you on your journey.

Our TT combines fundamental yogic concepts and traditional asana with sustainable, modern, creative and intelligent approaches to teaching yoga. This vinyasa focused training aims to equip you with a thorough understanding of yoga poses within the context of sound principles of movement while remaining true to fundamental yogic concepts and Yoga Alliance requirements.

Tuesday 5/21: Warrior’s Path. In this focused practice we will dissect, and then make whole again the intricacies of the common posture Virabhadrasana I. Expect a full body practice crafted to embody both the alignment of the warrior’s form and spirit.
Wednesday 5/22: Put a bow on it. All things Urdhva Dhanurasana! This peak pose practice aims the arrow straight for Upward Facing Bow. And when we get there, we’ll work different entrance & exit strategies and variations, including prop use and partner work.
Thursday 5/23: Twist, shout and stand on your hands.This practice emphasizes preparation for and practice of the complex and multilayered arm balance Maksikanagasana, commonly called Dragonfly or Grasshopper pose. Expect plenty of hip & leg work, spinal rotation, and shoulder stabilizing actions to prepare for a stealthy lift off! Shouting optional, but welcome.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and set up your mat.
Mats and towels are available for you to borrow.  Our studio offers a spacious comfy lobby, plenty of cubby space for your belongings, wonderful showers and a generous amount of parking spaces!


Here’s how to find us at IX

Park in one of the small lots on the side of the building across from the art park (not the news complex side). Look for a big sculpture of an upside down man on the roof. Walk all the way down the outdoor corridor under the sculpture. Enter the building through the double glass doors. The studio is the first biz on the left after you enter the building. The door says M3 and Opal’s sign is down a little lower in the window.
